pre-season work outs hey guys,
Its getting down to the wire and I'm wondering if there is specific stuff we should be focusing on to get ready for polo; sets/times, stuff to focus on in the weight room, etc

i'd for sure be treading along with your swimming. aerobic workouts are probably more important than sprint workouts. think about the dryland stuff we did before practice for weight lifting.

Preseason If your in Ann Arbor I strongly suggest following up with Drew Hanz and Zatkoff about preseason. On your own, I would advise running (long medium pace), lifting (light weights high rep, focus on shoulders), getting a ball in your hand never hurts. You should be dedicating at least an hour and half a day to exercize. Please include stretching in this: a good lifting and stretching regiment can prevent injuries during season.

coach who? hey, did i miss something? what's the deal with the coach swap? what happened to zimmer? who are we looking at? will i still be able to fight him in the hotel room?
i think it would be helpful to post our schedule either on the website or on the parents section of the forum once it is finalized..
plus also for preseason training we should all take up smoking, it would make our lungs stronger plus we would all look tougher if we took team smoke breaks between games at tourneys

Smoking I'm with Perry, I have watched the Hungarians at exhibition games and they usually swim a lap and drink a beer or smoke for warm up. They are the best in the world so I think we should follow.
